Lets talk about Yourboyfantasy, the creative project of South African artist, producer, filmmaker and visual storyteller Ona-Nao Ncube.
Over the past several years, Yourboyfantasy has developed across music, film, visual art, fashion and digital content, gradually building an identity that exists beyond a single medium. His music catalog stretches back to 2019, with projects including TRAPPED., Phases, Still Here, Smoked Mirrors and the SNVL series, alongside his work as a writer and composer on AFDA’s 2024 thriller The Ride.
The current chapter of Yourboyfantasy is focused on bringing those disciplines closer together: using music as the soundtrack, film and visuals as storytelling tools, and fashion and internet culture as extensions of the character and world surrounding the work.
