They call me the Daveyton Storyteller, but stories don’t belong to the dusty corners where they were born. They belong to the wind.
Today, I am re-releasing “Ama International” exactly as it is. No remix. No polished update. No softening the edges to fit a trend. It is returning raw, untouched, and heavier than ever. Because to understand where I am going, you have to hear what got me here.
THE GROUND WE STAND ON
For a long time, the narrative was about survival. Writing rhymes in the backrooms of Daveyton, feeling the weight of the city, and trying to find a voice that didn’t just mimic what we heard from across the ocean. This record “Ama International” first lived on my first project, Razzmatazz Calling EP, back in 2021 – the point where localized pain met global ambition. It was proof that our slang, our hunger, and our kasi realities are international currency.
This re-release isn’t a look backward; it’s a checkpoint. The industry tries to put independent artists in a box, expecting us to stay quiet or wait our turn. But the noise we are making independently is getting too loud to ignore. The foundation is solid, the vision is clear, and the hunger hasn’t changed – it’s just gotten smarter.
THE MAD FLIGHT FORWARD
If you thought “Ama International” was the ceiling, you haven’t been paying attention. The sonic trajectory I am on right now is a little crazy. We are breaking boundaries, fusing sounds, and taking the Daveyton narrative to rooms they never expected us to enter.
We are moving past the point of just asking for a seat at the table. We are building our own international infrastructure from the ground up. The music that is coming next is bolder, more unapologetic, and fiercely global.
“Ama International” is the manifesto. It’s the reminder that no matter how far the music travels, the roots remain deeply tangled in the soil of home.
