Lindelani Simelane, popularily known as Amarii has released a single titled “Fame” on Thursday the 16th of November 2023 as a part of the upcoming EP titled “From Bremersdorp With Love” . Now, previously Amarii had released a lead single for the project titled “No Debate” which was accompanied with a music video, you can go check the song alongside the music video over here: https://tr.ee/9mocnrf1BE Now, the production of Fame took place around October, and Amarii was riding solo on this one with no producers or co- producers.
During the production and track-listing of “From Bremersdorp With Love”, Amarii was missing a record that would compliment No Debate sonically in terms of tempo and overall mood. Amarii was in the process of making a bunch of records within the same tempo range just to get it right and “Fame” was the perfect fit mainly because it had a subject that he wanted to speak on. During this particular phase was when Amarii was mainly focused on making demos on the go and he told himself that he’d come back to whatever spoke to him the most.
Ultimately, that also means he has a couple of records in the vault waiting to be heard! Moving forward from the recording process, which like a lot of Amarii’s existing records came around as a result of punching in vocals, he basically wanted to arrange the record in a way that would feel like a journey so he added the longer intro with the eventful outro just to give the listener something to look forward to in every minute of the song.
This is a straight Hip-Hop/Rap song whereby Amarii expresses his outlook on the fact that people would do right around anything for “Fame” hence the catch phrase of the hook “They gon’ do whatever for the fame”. In a nutshell, some people put in the work to get to the top, some people fake it to make it there. Some of them do what they do for the grand scheme of their lives, some people do it just to be famous and that’s exactly what Fame is all about. “I am at a point where I’m starting to understand the music industry and how important social media is in relation to my career. In the same breath I am learning that it’s important to stay true to yourself even in times where you find yourself having to make moves for the purpose of growing in your field.
Now, “Fame” was just me expressing my observations which are that some people don’t know how to stay true to themselves and they’d go to the most unbelievable lengths to be perceived a certain way by their audience which never lasts long honestly. I want to be here forever” adds Amarii. Moving onto what’s next for Amarii, a new single titled “Welcome 2 My Life” is coming soon with the project officially dropping on 7 December 2023.
