Disco Supernova is a rising star, from Ekurhuleni Daveyton in Johannesburg, the SA Hip Hop industry is about to experience a game changer, people say “a hood nigga” but he’s just a dope rapper and a versatile musician. Disco has a rare poetic style of rapping, with the rhymes of conscious rap focusing on politics, substance abuse, lifestyle, homicide and more circumstances that transpire in the kasi (South African hood).
The Dawn Mixtape is the debut mixtape by the rapper, dropped in December 2023, Track 3 War Zone is one of the most prominent track by the rapper and the message behind this song vents to communicate directly with the South Africans on social issues initiated by the so called IziNkabi hitmen. Which happens to be one of the saddest scenes recently observed in the South African Hip Hop industry where the rapper AKA’s life was taken by the Nkabi hitmen, Disco Supernova addresses issues of that nature in this record.
“The new project is on the way, I’m back in studio I will be releasing just singles for now, I am dropping two joints this fall, and the rest of the project will eventually drop, keep ears and eyes on my socials because the next thing is the album, RESPECT.”
