Skoen Pampiri & Indiana RSA’s new song, “Imibuzo,” is set to be released this coming Friday under Upscale Live. This vibrant, Afro-Sotho Hip Hop song was recorded at Upscale Live Studio’s in Johannesburg, Maboneng. It was Produced by LT and TUMIIxMaseko, Mixed and Mastered by Sean Cast HQ.
“Imibuzo” is a matured follow up single from their 2022 release titled “Kao Rata.” What is distinctively clear is the unique hybrid sound that the two individual musicians are carving. Skoen Pampiri is a rapper & singer, and Indiana RSA, an Afropop/AfroBeats artist. The blend of these two genres and the way they tell their stories is what makes this sound so different.
“As much as the constant wonder of the existence of an after-life still remains one of my greatest fears, I think the fear of being forgotten and people moving on as if I never existed is what keeps me up at night.” Your loved ones and everyone you ever knew, eventually, they move on after you gone and this song stems from a specific thought, “Xa ndimkile, ingaba uzondikhumbula na?” Which, in English, translates, “After I’m gone, will you remember me.” The song also stems from a feeling of growing out of love with your partner. Sometimes things just do not work out and no matter what you try to do; they just do not work out.
The song will be available on all digital music platforms on Thursday midnight for New Music Friday.
