The South African independent music landscape is witnessing the rise of a true multi-hyphenate force. Charly Deep—a seasoned rapper, record producer, and entrepreneur—has officially rolled out his blazing single, “BIG BOYZ”. The track serves as a premier teaser for his highly anticipated studio album, Manifested.
With “BIG BOYZ,” Charly Deep makes an undeniable statement that he is a major force to watch. The record acts as a victory lap, celebrating the continuous milestones, personal growth, and financial triumphs that have defined his parallel journeys across both the music industry and his various entrepreneurial endeavors.
Stepping Into the Drill Zone
Marking a major creative milestone, “BIG BOYZ” features Charly Deep exploring the gritty, heavy-hitting world of the Drill genre for the very first time. To ensure the transition was flawless, he joined forces with producer and rapper extraordinaire Neo Ndawo to forge an upbeat, driving sonic backdrop.
Charly Deep delivers his verses with a hungry, relentless energy that proves he is ready to take absolute control of the hip-hop scene. A standout highlight of the record is his seamless lyrical fusion, mixing raw South African vernacular with slick colloquialisms.
“’BIG BOYZ’ is an opportunity for me to flex on my success, express my uniqueness in the industry, and show love and appreciation to my day-one friends,” Charly Deep shares.
Visuals Live From Durban CBD
The single is accompanied by a cinematic music video that has already garnered massive wave of attention and organic support online. Directed to capture his roots, sections of the high-energy visual were shot right in the heart of the Durban CBD, while the remainder was filmed directly within his local neighborhood.
